This guy...

...is pretty cute!!!  Just 'cause.

MOVIES!!!

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE movies.  I will watch my favorites over and over, and I will count days until a movie I want to see comes out.  Three movies I am SO excited about are:

ICAN'TWAITICAN'TWAITICAN'TWAIT!!!!  Ty and I are both really into these books, so we are so excited for the movie!

I read this book and liked it, and I'm an unabashed girly movie lover, (and closet High School Musical liker) so I'm excited for this one too.

Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams seem a perfect pair to me :)
What would we do without movies to look forward to?  I LOVE them :)

Happy Holidays??

I'm a little late :)  I figured I should post something about the holidays on here, since I decided to do this blog to document our lives and such.  Blogging has not been as exciting for me as I anticipated it to be...any ideas of how to improve/have more fun with my blog?  Anyway...

We decided to host both Thanksgiving AND Christmas at our house this year!  Crazy, I know!!

For Thanksgiving, we had my uncle Will and his four kids over, and his girlfriend Susan - that makes 9 people, if you include Baby Griff.  Will made turkey and Susan made stuffing and gravy.  I made homemade rolls, two kinds of yams, green bean casserole, fruit salad, and mashed potatoes.  It was quite the cooking experience for me.  I think it all turned out well.
Here's the spread

I love everyone's faces in this picture - we did have fun, promise.

As for Christmas, I did decidedly less cooking.  Ty made a big breakfast and we had my mom, Ty's parents, his sister Katie and her hubby Jake, and his Aunt Kathy over.  We went to church and listened to the Christmas program, and then came back and opened presents, then Ty made tacos :)  We went to Ty's parents' house later and had dinner, and then played Apples to Apples.  It was a really fun day :)  Sadly, I didn't take many pictures of baby's first Christmas, but here's a few I did take.
Santa has been here :)

It was so fun to have my mom here, and she loved playing with baby Griff and reading from my library.

Ty was our master chef.

Griffin LOVES this toy.

All in all, we had a great holiday season!  I feel truly blessed to have such amazing family and friends, and to have had such a wonderful first year with our boy.
