Labor Day Fun

We knew that Labor Day was coming up, and we decided that we needed to get away from home for the weekend.  We have some amazing friends in St. George that are always telling us that we can come visit them, so we called them up, and Voila!  Ready made vacation :)  Tyson and Tyler have been best friends since they were little, and I adore Laura.  She's seriously like Martha Stewart.  She knows how to refinish furniture and do all sorts of crafts, and you can even thank her for this blog, because she taught me how to do it.  Anyway, we had so much fun just hanging out and eating out, and it was so great to spend some time with good friends away from the usual grind.

One really funny thing...They have the most adorable daughter, and Griffin was totally intrigued by her.  We went to Costco, and things started out innocently enough:

You can see from his face that he's getting ready to misbehave

As we walked around, Griffin got more, um...friendly:
It begins

Uh oh, he's getting fresh!

and he likes it.

In addition to all this LOVE, he also stole her water bottle and her sippy cup.  Luckily she took it all in stride.

Here are some more fun things we did:
Ate at a great hibachi/sushi place where my kid squealed and tried to grab stuff the whole time
saw this little tiny lizard

went swimming with these guys
put the kids in the bath because the pool was SO cold!

Thanks Tyson and Laura!  We love you guys, and we had so much fun!

YAY for babies sharing shopping carts! I love that you called me Martha Stewart hehe... she does have some awesome ideas so I take that as a compliment :) and let's just say however, that you won't be seeing me go to jail anytime soon! jk

We had a blast with you guys visiting, even though we got very little sleep from staying up 'till 2am and midnight most nights laughing it up. You guys are so cute.
